# Server Boosting

Server boosting unlocks many perks for your Discord server, and is worth considering if Discord is your main community engagement platform. 

There are 3 levels, ranging from 2 to 14 boosts:

## Perks for Server Boosting

Here is the list of level-specific perks at the time of writing (02 Jun 2023):

Some perks that are we would like to highlight:

* "Custom Invite Link" (Level 3) - looks much better than the default invite links
* "Server Invite Background" (Level 1) which can be a nice welcome image for new joiners
* "Animated Server icon" (Level 1) - can make your server stand out from the others
* "Server Banner" (Static for Level 1, Animated for Level 2) - makes your server look more professional
* "Emoji Slots" and "Sticker Slots" - can be useful to hold community competitions to submit Emojis and Stickers to win prizes and truly make the server feel more like their home

Do note that server boosting does not need to be solely from the server owner, any passionate community member can contribute boosts too.&#x20;

Server boosters get a few interesting perks:

* A special Member List Icon
* A Boosting role
* A **✨shiny✨ badge** in their user profile, which evolves after it reaches a certain milestone of time as a user continue their streak for boosting servers:

You may wish to further reward members that do so, for example announce a thank you for their contribution, an NFT or WL gift, etc.&#x20;

## How to Boost Your Server

1. Click on "Server Boost" located at the top of your server dropdown menu:

2. Click "Boost This Server":

3. Set the number of Server Boosts that you want to purchase, and click continue:

4. Check on your billing breakdown, complete payment and you're all done!
